The Niverville Nighthawks put up their finest display of the season to date as they dispatched the MJHL’s top-ranked Portage Terriers (10–2–0) in convincing 6–2 fashion.

The Providence Pilots men’s soccer team had a winning weekend. On October 15, they trounced the Assiniboine Community College Cougars with an 8–1 victory. The next day, they beat the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges by a score of 3–1.

The Wildlife Haven Rehabilitation Centre near Île-des-Chênes was the beneficiary of a $5,000 grant on October 18, courtesy of the Canada Post Community Foundation. The Foundation’s primary purpose is to support initiatives that improve the lives of Canadian children.

The Niverville Junior C Clippers are back for another season. Former players Dominic Martens and Luke Toews enjoyed their time on the Clippers so much that now, a few years later, they’ve decided to get the team going again—this time as coaches.

It was a game to forget for the hometown Niverville Nighthawks, as they fell 6–2 to a solid Virden Oil Capitals. With the loss, the Nighthawks stay in fifth place in the MJHL’s East Division with a 4–5–0 record.
