The stage is set for an MJHL championship showdown for the ages as the Niverville Nighthawks and Virden Oil Capitals prepare to face off in the McMunn & Yates Turnbull Cup Final, which begins this Friday night at the CRRC.

For the first time in franchise history, the Niverville Nighthawks are headed to the championship series in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, with a chance to capture the Turnbull Cup.

Riding the momentum of their come-from-behind win on Monday night, the Niverville Nighthawks kept rolling Wednesday, shutting out the Waywayseecappo Wolverines 3–0 in Game 4 to take a 3–1 series lead.

The Niverville Nighthawks showed the resilience and heart that the Nighthawks faithful have become accustomed to on Monday night, clawing their way back from a two-goal deficit to defeat the Waywayseecappo Wolverines 4–2 and grab a 2–1 lead in their playoff series.

On April 25, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., young female athletes five years of age and up are invited to give ringette a try.

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines evened up the series against Niverville with a 3–1 win over the Nighthawks in Game 2 in Waywayseecappo Saturday night.
