Niverville Fire & Emergency Services will once again be hosting a perogy supper fundraiser on Saturday, November 11. The dinner will run from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Donations are accepted, and any donations over $20 will be issued a tax receipt.
This year marks the ten-year anniversary of this event, not counting those occasions when it had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We really appreciate the support we have received over the past years,” says Niverville fire chief Keith Bueckert. “It has helped us purchase equipment that in turn helps the community.”
Last year, the group raised funds to purchase a new set of rescue tools. While this year’s fundraising initiative isn’t set toward one particular item, Bueckert asks for the community’s continued support as they project that a major project is just over the horizon: a new fire hall.
“We are fundraising for equipment that is over and above our capital allocation from the town,” says Bueckert. “We are planning on a new fire hall. There will be equipment and items that we will have to purchase that we will need funds for.”
There are no tickets to purchase for the dinner and it’s first come, first served. There is also no minimum donation amount.
