The Town of Niverville is set to receive $7,526 from the Government of Manitoba for a design project in Hespeler Park. The goal of the project is to ensure that the park remains an important destination for the town. An important part of the plan is to make sure the park’s bathrooms are fully accessible to all community members.
The money was awarded as part of the provincial government’s funding for community development projects. The government announced more than $1.4 million in such grants on January 19.
“By partnering with municipalities and community groups and addressing local capital, planning and programming needs, we are building sustainable communities that will improve the lives of Manitobans,” says Municipal Relations Minister Jeff Wharton.
This new funding is in addition to a previously announced grant of $7,253 toward the Hespeler Park project.
