Less than two years after Seine River School Division’s (SRSD) superintendent/CEO Ryan Anderson accepted the position, he’s calling it quits.

According to a bulletin released by the provincial government, repairs to the gas pipelines operated by Imperial Oil Ltd. are still on schedule for a mid-June completion.

Gavin Gunderson scored a hat trick on a big night for the Niverville Nighthawks on the road as they defeated the Selkirk Steelers by a 5–2 score to get back into the win column. The Nighthawks improve to 2–4–0 on the season, which is good for fifth place in the MJHL’s East Division.

From September 19–25, the Niverville location of Tim Hortons ran their annual Smile Cookie campaign to raise funds for the local chapter of Communities in Bloom. CIB plans to use the funds to finish the memory garden in the courtyard of the Heritage Life Personal Care Home, which will feature a putting green, butterfly garden, and other seniors’ healthy living activities.

On October 26, voters across Manitoba will get the opportunity to cast votes for their mayors, councillors, and school trustees. With several candidates vying for a limited number of spots on council, Niverville residents will have a number of people to consider.

September 20 marked the final day for municipal council hopefuls to submit their nomination paperwork and signatures to the respective Senior Election Officers of Niverville and Ritchot.

The Niverville Nighthawks dropped their second straight one-goal game on Sunday night when they fell to the Winnipeg Freeze by a 3–2 score. The Nighthawks now move to a 1–5 record to kick off their inaugural campaign.
