Anytime you organize an outdoor festival in Manitoba, you’re left to the mercy of the weather. This year, the rain fell throughout the entire Friday evening portion of the Niverville Olde Tyme Country Fair. Fortunately, the sun came out on Saturday.

“I took piano once when I was six. I wish I would have stuck with it.” That’s a phrase I’ve heard all too often. Fortunately, there’s good news. It’s not too late for you to get involved in music, and it’s not too late for your child.

Chad Eddy of Niverville has recently published his first book, Remember the Gospel. Eddy has been a speaker for more than 15 years and spoken to crowds at Sunday morning services, retreats, and Bible studies.

As of June 3, 2017, you will be able to purchase new music from Eddy Von, a local artist who is set to release his debut album, The Frequency of Love. Eddy has been playing and writing music for 35 years. The album contains 12 original songs and has a very diverse sound, including examples of rock, pop, and even blues.

Music lovers will be flocking to Perron Park in St. Adolphe on June 17 for the town’s music festival, hosted by Roger Brodeur. This free event will run from noon until evening and is for all ages. As of right now, seven local bands are booked. 

On June 2–3, the Grande Pointe Homeowners Association is hosting a celebration at their community’s park at 423 Bernat Road. The outdoor event will be a fun weekend for all ages, and the proceeds will help to continue the park’s development.
