On March 3, Ritchot’s council was given the first opportunity to provide feedback on the future twinning of Highways 59 and 52.

On Wednesday, March 4, the Manitoba Junior Hockey League announced the winners of its annual awards. Among those winners, the Niverville Nighthawks are strongly represented in multiple major categories.

Last week, Mayor Myron Dyck was invited on a tour of the Bayer Crop Science research facility at the University of Manitoba, a place where he hopes to make a big impact. He was joined by Hanover School Division’s superintendent, Joe Thiessen.

On March 3, Niverville’s council had a productive meeting, voting unanimously in favour of awarding a tender for the Highway 311 construction project as well as proceeding with the sale of land on which the lagoon currently occupies.

After reviewing proposals from two different developers for a new housing project in Ste. Agathe, Ritchot council made their decision on February 18.

March is Fraud Prevention Month in Canada, and the Manitoba RCMP and Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) are ramping up their efforts to spread awareness to help keep people safe.
