It’s hard to believe that the hockey season is now done for Clipper Ice Sports. We’ve seen some great things come out of CIS this year. We had a record number of children play hockey, which is great to see. In total, 180 children learned not only about the game of hockey, but many important life skills.
Some of the other highlights this year include several teams making it to either the championship round or consolation final in their divisions, and Niverville hosting the Bantam Provincials.
A huge thank you goes out to all of the players, coaches, managers, safety personnel, and parents for making this yet another successful Clippers hockey season! I would also like to extend a shout-out to the behind-the-scenes personnel who organize the ice allocations and referees. The season literally could not have gone on without them.
We are already planning for next season. In the meantime, get out there and play soccer, baseball, or whatever other summer activities you enjoy. We look forward to seeing all the returning players—and many new ones—at the rink in September.
