For decades now, Remembrance Day has been an occasion of special significance in Niverville, largely due to a team of dedicated volunteers who has for decades sought to convey the timeless message, “lest we forget,” in a vibrant and meaningful way.

The Steinbach Pistons put on an impressive performance to swiftly dispatch the Niverville Nighthawks by a score of 7–1. With the loss, the Nighthawks move to third place in the MJHL’s East Division with a record of 6–3–1.

The Niverville Foundation’s inaugural wine and cheese event was held on October 20 at the Heritage Centre. Invited guests included community and foundation supporters of all stripes and demographics, there to hear about some big changes recently undertaken this year.

A new provincial government was sworn in at The Leaf in Winnipeg’s Assiniboine Park on October 18. Premier Wab Kinew took the opportunity to introduce his new 14-person cabinet as they took their oaths of office.

Otterburne’s Providence University College will soon be expanding its facilities, providing additional space to accommodate new classrooms and campus housing options for international students.
