For years, Niverville’s town council has faced two persistent accusations: first, that they’re uncommunicative, regularly leaving locals in the dark. Second, that this failure to communicate is a sign not simply of negligence, but of council’s scorn for transparency. But are these accusations fair?

Living in Manitoba in the summer months has its dangers, like being carried off by a horde of mosquitos or suffering a slight sunburn. However, winter brings more severe dangers and less forgiving consequences to those who aren’t careful.

John Muir was born in Galston, Scotland in 1897 and immigrated to Canada with his siblings and parents in 1904. They settled in Winnipeg on Lavinia Street just north of Portage Avenue.
