Few people have participated firsthand in all of Niverville’s incredible change and growth over the past 33 years as Jim Buys. Buys was hired on as Niverville’s first chief administrative officer (CAO) over three decades ago, and in 2018 he’s decided to complete his leg of the race and pass the baton.

On the evening of Tuesday, February 20, a student from Niverville Collegiate Institute (NCI) issued a threat against the school on social media. The Instagram post included an image of a gun alongside the caption “Schools gonna be fun tomorrow.”

Construction is nearing completion on the new Pilot Flying J Travel Center along Highway 75 in Ste. Agathe. Although the location was initially expected to open in late January, delays resulted in pushing back the date by a few weeks.

Early in the morning of Wednesday, Thursday 21, a student at Niverville Collegiate Institute issued a threat against the school.

Dozens of hardy athletes came through Niverville on Saturday, February 17 as part of the Actif Epica race. Participants in the race run and bike over one hundred kilometers from near the U.S. border up to Winnipeg through winter conditions, with several checkpoints along the way.
