Doggy daycares help dogs socialize and burn off energy while their owners are at work—and finding the right place, and the right people, to look after your dog just got a little easier. At the end of September, Jane Seath, owner and operator of Tender Touch Dog Grooming in Île-des-Chênes, partnered with Tammy Thomson and Lauris Kleben to operate the Tender Touch Doggy Daycare, attached to the grooming salon.

The Hanover School Division’s board of trustees has chosen an official name for the new high school being constructed in Niverville. The school, set to open on schedule in September 2019, will be called Niverville High School.

In Ritchot, Mamchuk and Pelletier Win Re-Election

The local results are in from this year’s Manitoba-wide municipal elections. Several members of Ritchot’s council won their seats by acclamation this year, including Mayor Chris Ewen, Janine Boulanger (Ward 4), and newcomer Curtis Claydon (Ward 3). Claydon replaced outgoing councillor Jeannot Robert, who had decided earlier this year not to seek re-election.
