Town of Niverville

With the current coronavirus outbreak, and the social distancing measures in effect, businesses everywhere are facing new challenges and threats. To help support our local businesses, which are vital to the well-being of our communities, this article will present a list of businesses who are responding to the pandemic—letting you know what measures they’re taking, and how you can support them.

After all, it’s only a matter of time before large numbers of local people who normally work, shop, and access services in Winnipeg will be looking to do more of that closer to home.

We are updating this information on a regular basis.

Anya's Hair Salon:
Our salon is temporarily closed. For those needing product - continue to call or text us (204-388-5495) and we can arrange a delivery or pick-up.

Bothwell Cheese:
In order to protect our staff and customers, the following measures have been implemented at the store: All sampling has been suspended.

Hand sanitizer is available for customers upon entry.

We have limited the number of customers allowed in the store to 2, and ask that customers keep a 6 foot distance between themselves and the Cheese Shop staff.

We have increased our cleaning frequency and continue to follow our existing high standards for food safety, sanitation and hygiene practices.

We ask that customers only touch products that they intend to buy. If you need help finding a product please ask a Cheese Shop staff member for assistance.

Please also note the following regarding current operations at the Cheese Shop:

Please use your best judgement when planning your visit and follow the recommendations from Provincial authorities: If you have had any COVID-19-related symptoms, have been around anyone who has displayed symptoms, or have travelled outside the province within the last 14 days, we ask that you refrain from visiting the store. We would like to stay open for as long as it is safe to do so, but this will only be possible by following these guidelines.

We are still accepting cash payments, though we encourage customers to use contactless payment whenever possible.

Our store hours remain the same: Mon-Fri 8:30am - 6pm, Sat 9am - 5pm, closed Sundays. The Cheese Shop will also be closed on April 10th for Good Friday.

Within the past 2 weeks I have personally taken the precautions when showing properties by using the following:

- The use of sanitary wipes and protective gloves upon entry of homes for myself as well as clients.

- When necessary the use of a mask if I have been unsure or for any first meeting with clients.

- I have taken steps that ensure that I am not in the house when clients go through. This is unprecedented and something that I do not like but I am committed to social distancing. I will always ensure clients are in agreement with this before showings.

- I leave any feature sheets and marketing materials in a folder inside for people to take along with them.

- After the showing I meet with clients outside the home from a very safe distance and answer any questions that might arise out of the showings.
