As of May 6, the RM of Ritchot has initiated a level two fire restriction. Due to dry spring conditions, open fires are currently not permitted. Fires are allowed in approved receptacles only. 

After several days of travel, practices, sightseeing, and team bonding, the Niverville Nighthawks finally opened play at the Centennial Cup on Thursday night, and they made sure their debut was memorable.

This week, students at Niverville High School have been embracing the world of neurodivergence by celebrating unique human quirks. 

The RM of Ritchot has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with an innovative Manitoba startup specializing in organic waste conversion.

This past April, the Town of Niverville received welcome news: local infrastructure will be boosted to the tune of nearly $10 million in provincial funding. Those funds cover approximately half the cost to complete a major overhaul of Highway 311 west of the tracks and a resurfacing of the balance of Niverville’s Main Street east of the tracks. The town will bear the balance of the project’s cost.

The Niverville Nighthawks are ready to take their historic season to the national spotlight. Following their dominant run through the MJHL, they now embark on the longest road trip in franchise history—heading to Summerside, PEI, for the Centennial Cup. They arrive as the second-ranked team in the country and firmly in the conversation as a title contender.
