New Fire Hall Considered for Ste. Agathe

A proposal to construct a new fire hall in Ste. Agathe is gaining momentum. The council of the RM of Ritchot, at its October 4 meeting, will consider a proposal to borrow $2.5 million to pay for the construction of the fire hall and the purchase of a fire truck, plus associated firefighting equipment and training. The loan would be repaid over a period of 20 years.

By-Election to Select Niverville Councillor

When John Falk stepped down from his seat on Niverville’s town council to run for the Manitoba Liberals in the recent provincial election, his departure created a vacancy. That vacancy will be filled through a by-election to be held on September 14. Three candidates are in the running: Nathan Dueck, Louise Billows, and John Falk, who is seeking re-election after losing his provincial contest.

Hespeler Park to Host Multiplex Fundraiser

A fundraiser for the Niverville Multiplex will be hosted at Hespeler Park on September 18 from 4:00–6:30 p.m. by the picnic shelter.
