Niverville Council Hosts Open House

For the second year in a row, Niverville’s town council is holding an informational open house. The event will give residents an opportunity to speak to members of council about a range of issues in an informal setting.

“Have you ever heard someone say, or thought to yourself, ‘It would have been nice if the town had told me…?’” says Mayor Myron Dyck. “Come and meet staff and council and weigh in with your thoughts on various topics council will be discussing at our annual planning session in November.”

The open house will begin at 3:00 p.m. and last until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, at the south end of the Niverville Arena.

The town has prepared several informational displays, including one on the future of policing in Niverville, a particularly hot-button issue in recent years. Visitors to the open house will have the opportunity to speak directly with town staff or leave written comments.

“This is about growing our town,” Dyck says. “We want to hear your solutions about how we get there.”
