Due to the continued growth of our company, we are looking to expand in several different areas throughout our business; one of those areas is our drafting department. We are looking for an individual who is interested in growing with our company.

Responsibilities:

Production of drawings primarily for residential buildings and multiplexes
Drawings for retail buildings, office buildings, industrial buildings and apartment/condo complexes would be an asset.
Must have proficient use working with SoftPlan. Some skills in AutoCAD can be transferred for use in Softplan with additional training.
Complete all drawings required between each design/sales quote
Creativity and innovation with design
Ensure all work meets company standards for quality
Stay current on knowledge of the building code

Requirements:

Minimum 5 year experience drafting residential blueprints
Proficient knowledge of the construction process
Demonstrate time management skills
High level of integrity and work ethic
He/she must ensure production of plans and drawings are implemented and comply with current building code specifications
Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
Construction background and experience with multi- unit dwellings is an asset
