March is Fraud Prevention Month in Canada, and the Manitoba RCMP and Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) are ramping up their efforts to spread awareness to help keep people safe.

It was a night of celebration at the CRRC as the Niverville Nighthawks gave their families, friends, and billet parents plenty to cheer about, skating to a 6–2 victory over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines on Billet Appreciation Night.

It didn’t come easy, and at this time of the year the wins never do, but the Niverville Nighthawks found a way to earn a gritty 3–2 victory over the Swan Valley Stampeders at the CRRC.

A six-point performance from Hayden Wheddon powered the Niverville Nighthawks to a dominant 9–1 victory over the Portage Terriers Wednesday night at the CRRC, extending their winning streak to four games.

Residents and neighbours of St. Adolphe enjoyed a good old-fashioned treat on the Friendship Trail earlier this month. Here, families gathered for Louis Riel Day on February 16, to take part in traditional activities of the Manitoba Metis.

There are approximately 45 chapters of Habitat for Humanity across Canada, but at present none exist in southeastern Manitoba. For this reason, the non-profit would love to influence a chapter in Niverville, Manitoba’s fastest growing community.
