While running is generally considered to be an independent sport, local runners in Niverville are proving that a supportive community can push runners to reach their goals—and sometimes exceed them.

Gabby is 13. She lives in a small town in southeast Manitoba with her mom, dad, and two siblings. Gabby plays on the school volleyball team, studies hard for tests, and enjoys youth group every Friday night.

As of July 1, Niverville Recreation is unveiling a major upgrade to help locals better access their services: a new, more user-friendly mobile app to facilitate bookings. Registration for programs, events, and classes can now be done on the Perfect Mind app via mobile device.

In October 2024, The Citizen ran a story about an inspirational young warrior by the name of Maxwell Bilodeau. After a two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer, his fight ended and he left this world.

A record 65 graduates donned cap and gown this year, receiving well-deserved diplomas from École/Collège Régional Gabrielle-Roy (Gab-Roy).

On June 25, the Niverville High School auditorium was filled to capacity as hundreds gathered to celebrate what would prove to be the school’s biggest graduating class yet.
