The Niverville Nighthawks ended their four-game losing streak in style with a massive 8–5 win at home on Saturday evening against the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.

The Niverville Nighthawks continued their losing skid on Thursday, dropping their fourth game in a row after a tough contest against the Waywayseecappo Wolverines. The Nighthawks escaped with a single point after falling in the shootout.

It was a tough weekend for the Providence Pilots women’s basketball team on the road in North Dakota. On January 20, they lost to the Trinity Bible College (TBC) Lions 60–106, and the next day they fell again 64–87.

The St. Adolphe Winter Carnival has been a staple of winter for decades. But like so many other events, it was cancelled for several years due to the pandemic. The good news is that the carnival is back in full swing this year. The event, to be held February 2–5 will be packed with fun-filled activities for the whole family.

The Niverville Nighthawks couldn’t find the win column again on Sunday afternoon at the CRRC as they dropped their third straight game, losing 4–2 to the Virden Oil Capitals. With the loss, the Nighthawks stay in fourth place in the MJHL’s East Division with a record of 19–17–3.
