On June 21, Ritchot’s council gave their stamp of approval to a business about to put down roots in Ste. Agathe. Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers will soon begin operations on a six-acre lot bordering Highway 75. The lot will be leased to the business by Denis and Richard Baudry of H. Baudry Construction.

On Wednesday, June 21, a competitive dance group from Prairie Soul Dance Company in Niverville performed at the Manitoba Legislative for the National Indigenous Peoples Day prayer breakfast, an event organized by Encounter Life Ministries in Winnipeg, Canada Awakening Ministries in Niverville, and other local leaders.

At their public council meeting on June 21, Ritchot’s council considered the request for a conditional use permit by Joshua Darlingford.

At a June 20 public meeting, Niverville’s council voted unanimously in favour of accepting a zero-tolerance policy which governs council’s response to unacceptable behaviour directed toward them by residents.

Over the next couple of weeks, two of Niverville’s busiest intersections will see the addition of new safety measures for pedestrians on Fifth Avenue South.
