The Niverville Chamber of Commerce has installed a new president. John Magri, who has served for one term as Vice-President, was named President at a Chamber meeting in May.

The RM of Ritchot is almost ready to cut the ribbon on a brand-new fire hall. The hall, currently under construction in Ste. Agathe, will be the municipality’s third fire hall. The others are situated in Île-des-Chênes and St. Adolphe. The new hall is expected to be operational sometime in July.

Mayors Myron Dyck of Niverville and Chris Ewen of Ritchot have both filed their papers this month to run for re-election. The upcoming municipal election is scheduled for Wednesday, October 24.

They say age is just a number. But for two Niverville centenarians, theirs marks a pretty significant number—100! Susana Doerksen and Mary Peters are both residents of the Heritage Life Personal Care Home in Niverville, and they are the first in the facility to reach this major milestone.
