Contest Crop

The Niverville Chamber of Commerce has come up with an exciting new way to encourage people to shop local. Starting next week, they’ll be holding a contest, Luck of the Locals, designed to support local businesses and put some valuable gift cards in people’s pockets.

All you have to do to participate is buy something from a Niverville business from Monday, March 15 to Saturday, March 20—and keep your receipt. There is more than $8,500 available to be won in a series of draws for $100 gift cards.

To enter, email your receipt/proof of purchase along with your name to nivervilleluckofthelocals@gmail.com. You will receive one entry for every $20 spent, keeping in mind that purchases under $20 will be eligible for one entry.

The Draw Schedule

Here’s how the draws will be spread out. All prizes are $100 gift cards.

Three winners will be selected for purchases made on March 15, five winners for March 16, ten winners for March 17, 15 winners for March 18, 20 winners for March 19, and 25 winners for March 20. Each day, the deadline to enter will be 11:59 p.m., with draws taking place the following morning.

There’s also a grand prize to be drawn on Monday, March 22. All entries received for the week will be re-entered in this final draw, the winner of which will receive $700 in gift cards.

As a sweetener, people can double their number of daily entries by posting comments or pictures on Instagram. Just make sure to tag @nivervillechamber and mention the contest by name: “It Pays to Shop Local—Luck of the Locals!”

There has been no cost to any Niverville business to run this promotion, which is being supported entirely by the Province of Manitoba and administered by the Chamber of Commerce.
