Old Drovers Run (ODR) in Niverville is set to host a whiteout party for Jets fans on Friday, May 18 when the Jets meet the Las Vegas Golden Knights in the highly anticipated Game 4 of the Western Conference Final. Although the Jets opened the series with a victory in Winnipeg, they dropped the next two to Vegas and now find themselves in desperate need of a win on hostile ice.
Local fans eager to show their support, mix with neighbours, and hopefully give their skaters a psychic boost will have a chance to mingle and cheer on the home team. The family-friendly event is open to all ages and admission is free.
Food and drink, including beer, will be able to purchase for cash. The food is being provided by Two Loonies and a Ladle.
Event organizer Brendan Baldwin says that the course has rented a projector, a screen, and a banquet tent. He says the whiteout party will happen no matter what, rain or shine. Rain is currently in the forecast, although it is likely to taper off by the evening.
The game starts at 7:00 p.m.
