The St. Adolphe Childcare Centre has been busy fundraising for their expansion, adding a Halloween Spooktacular event at the end of October.
The Spooktacular is the latest in a series of fundraising efforts this year, including this week’s CWE wrestling matches and a weekly Chase the Ace at the St. Adolphe Motor Inn. With the growing need for childcare options in the community, the new 90-spot licensed facility would offer much relief. The project’s taskforce is facing time constraints to meet government deadlines, apply for grants, and surpass other administrative obstacles.
This event will give families who could be directed impact by the centre’s childcare spaces a fun way to get involved.
The Spooktacular will take place on Sunday, October 28 from 3:00–5:00 p.m. at 467 Main Street in St. Adolphe. The afternoon will be full of actives such as pumpkin-carving, balloon-twisting, face-painting, and more.
A Maze in Corn has donated 50 pumpkins for the pumpkin-carving aspect. A fee of $15 per pumpkin or $40 per family will be charged, with all of the proceeds going towards the childcare centre.
