Niverville residents will have a slight increase this year to their garbage collection services. A new waste levy has been introduced, which Mayor Myron Dyck says is necessary to account for an unexpected rise in landfill fees. The increase adds up to $7.81 per household for the whole year.
Dyck adds that he hopes the introduction of recycling carts this summer will reduce landfill expenses in the long run.
