Local Couple to Open Businesses at 86 Main

Laura and Julien Grenier of Niverville have big plans for their recent real estate purchase: 86 Main Street. The building, which formerly served as Niverville’s town office before becoming a dog daycare, has been extensively renovated and will soon be home to the Grenier Group Chartered Professional Accountants (GGCPA) and OSIX, a luxury hair extension brand.

In 18 months or less, RCMP staff across the country will have one more tool on their toolbelt to help solve crime: body cameras. Manitoba’s official rollout of the new device began on November 22 with the Steinbach detachment. In that city, 33 officers are already using the cameras.

For the second year in a row, the Niverville Heritage Centre will play host to a New Year’s Eve party for the community. The event will take place in the full ballroom, which can hold up to 400 people. All that space will likely be needed, since last year’s inaugural party had 359 attendees.
