St. Adolphe resident Dee Dee Budgell represents a contingent of Tourond Creek residents who are appealing to Ritchot’s council for quick action on reducing speed limits in their neighbourhood.

Staff Sergeant Guy Landreville of the St. Pierre RCMP detachment made a virtual presentation before Ritchot’s council on the morning of September 7.

Local farmer Marc Loeppky has few words to describe this year’s crop production other than that it’s “all over the map.” Loeppky’s farm, located immediately southwest of Niverville, consists of 3,200 acres of planted fields. This year’s crops include peas, oats, spring wheat, canola, soybeans, and corn.

Ritchot councillor Curtis Claydon is back on the campaign trail and hopes that Ste. Agathe residents will send him back for another four-year term.

The news has been rife this summer with stories of Manitobans being scammed out of hundreds, or even tens of thousands, of dollars due to phone scams. All too often, the victims are senior citizens.

Residents on First Street South in Niverville are concerned about the safety of pedestrians in their neighbourhood. The street has a partial sidewalk between Third and Fourth that doesn’t fully extend the length of the street.
