On a sunny day in Hespeler Park in late June, members of the Niverville Chamber of Commerce gathered at the picnic shelter to hold an outdoor, socially distanced ceremony to honour the winners of this year’s annual business awards.

Manitoba Turkey Producers and poultry producer Exceldor Cooperative have donated $10,000 worth of turkey to the local Helping Hands foodbanks.

Niverville’s council met on the morning of June 23 in a special meeting of council called by the town to address a variety of variance requests and other business. CAO Eric King was absent, with assistant CAO Audrey Neufeld stepping in to provide support.

The RM of Ritchot’s council met on the evening of June 17 to address a variety of items on their agenda. The council members are still meeting via remote video while the council chambers has been set up to host the public with social distancing measures in place.
