On April 8, residents of Manitoba can begin booking the campsites, cabins, and yurts they hope to enjoy around the province this summer. Reservations will be staggered in order to spread out the volumes of calls and online bookings over a five-day period.
“Manitoba is home to some spectacular parks and as warmer weather approaches, more and more Manitobans are preparing to book quality time out in nature,” says Tracy Schmidt, Minister of Environment and Climate Change. “As a parent who takes their children camping every year, I know how important a fast, convenient reservation system is. Our government has taken steps to streamline the booking process so Manitobans can reserve their favourite sites headache-free.”
Users are encouraged to check their website accounts and passwords prior to opening day and take the time to review reservation rules.
Descriptions and photos of Manitoba’s many campsites are also available on the provincial website. On April 8, users will be greeted by an enhanced virtual waiting room and queuing system intended to provide a better online experience.
